Sophia Snow residents satisfied their sweet tooth by indulging in a recent “Sweet Treat Party”.

Residents were encouraged to make their favorite dessert dishes for all to sample and judge.

“I thought it would be a fun way for residents to share their recipes with each other,” said Resident Service Coordinator Kerrin Fletcher.

Choice dishes included Belgian chocolate, cheesecake squares, date nut balls, chocolate tortes, brownies with nuts and chocolate fudge cake to name a few.

“All the desserts were very good. It was hard to decide on a favorite,” said resident Elizabeth Ingram.

Residents enjoyed the opportunity to meet with one another in addition to testing out the tasty treats.

“It was so much fun getting everyone together,” noted resident Rose Arntz.

First place dessert went to Clair O’Connell who made cream cheese puffs, second place went to Dorothy Koscuiszka who made a chocolate torte and third place went to Dietary Assistant Goinette Meade who made pineapple upside down cake.
