Welcome to our Sophia Snow Place website! I hope you find it informative, and that it leads you to take a closer look at all we have to offer you.
Few Boston area non-profit organizations can boast more than 150 years of devoted service to the community. The Roxbury Home for Aged Women, our founding organization, was formed in 1856 to provide housing for those in need. While our services and capabilities have broadened considerably beyond the dreams of our founders, our focus has remained unchanged—to address the housing needs of aging men and women of moderate income.
We are proud of our long tradition of caring, and of the dedicated staff that serve our residents each day. Our spacious new facility sits on a lovely campus at the crossroads of Roslindale, West Roxbury, and Jamaica Plain-- conveniently located to the attractions of Boston, the area’s exceptional healthcare facilities, and the lovely Arnold Arboretum. The Residences of Snow Place offers 66 attractive independent living apartments, while our Sophia Snow House provides 36 residential care suites for those requiring a higher level of care and support in daily living.
We’d love to introduce you to our caring community, and let you experience the warmth and family feeling that defines Sophia Snow Place. The next step is yours…
